Tampa Bay Rays are on the verge of elimination after a 10-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of the World Series. The Rays' manager, Kevin Cash, had hoped the team could claw back from a two-game-to-none deficit to win. However, the Brewers broke through for two runs in the third and an eight-run fifth inning, marking the most consecutive two-out hits in a World Series game. Freddy Peralta, who had a 7-0 record and 0.89 ERA over his previous 10 outings, was not sharp and the Rays were held to three hits for the night and were on the wrong side of an eight run inning. This was only the second time in postseason history a team scored at least eight runs with two outs.
