Port of Tampa Bay, Florida's only Gulf Coast cruise homeport, is planning a new cruise facility to meet growing demand. The port's Senior Vice-President, Business Development and Marketing, Greg Lovelace, projects a record 1.7 million cruise passengers in 2025, the highest total in its history. The new terminal, the first new cruise facilities to be built at the port in over 25 years, is currently in the architectural stage and is expected to be ready for passengers in late 2029. Once completed, it will accommodate over 200 additional annual ship calls and generate an estimated $100 million in additional annual economic impact.
