Buccaneers collect two freakish first-half scores to dominate Panthers – and, oh, Baker Mayfield is back
Calijah Kancey's 32-yard fumble return and Zyon McCollum's blocked extra point conversion powers the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' dominant first half. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominated their game against the Carolina Panthers, scoring 33 points in unusual ways to maintain a 33-6 lead at halftime. Eight of these points were scored in unusual fashion, with defensive lineman Al-Quadin Muhammad performing a strip-sack of Carolina quarterback Bryce Young and performing a flip over the goal line. The Panthers had managed to cut the deficit with a 50-yard hookup between Young and tight end Darren Waller, but on the ensuing extra point, McCullom returned a blocked extra point for a conversion. The Buccaneers' 33 first-half points are the third-most in franchise history and the most since 2021.
