The team had been forced to leave the stadium for a season due to Hurricane Milton, which destroyed the roof and extensive damage. Nearly $60 million was spent to replace the roof, and rebuild the stadium before the Rays returned this season. They played their 2025 home games at Steinbrenner Field. The new stadium is scheduled to open in 2029.
