LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) — Avelo Airlines’ first flight out of Lakeland Linder International Airport is set to depart on Thursday.
Starting Thursday, passengers can take a trip from LAL to Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) in Connecticut.
The flight will depart Lakeland twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays.
Avelo is the first airline to offer passenger service out of LAL in more than 10 years.
“This service from Lakeland opens up a world of increasing possibilities for our regional citizens,” Lakeland Mayor Bill Mutz said in a statement earlier this year. “We anticipate a thriving partnership with Avelo Airlines, providing many adventures ahead.
Tickets can be purchased on the Avelo Airlines website.
Avelo currently operates out of 51 airports across the country.
