Tampa Bay Rays are on the verge of elimination after a 10-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of the World Series. The Rays' manager, Kevin Cash, had hoped the team would score early runs and then secure a win. However, the Brewers broke through for two runs in the third and an eight-run fifth inning. Freddy Peralta, who had a 7-0 record and 0.89 ERA over his previous 10 outings, was removed after allowing seven hits and three walks. The team's seven consecutive two-out hits were the most in a World Series game. Only one team to come back from a 3-0 deficit in the playoffs, the 2004 Boston Red Sox.
