The Buccaneers Play Football Like it’s 1980 and Beat Carolina 43-13 - Bucs Report
I’m still trying to process what the hell I just watched. It was so beautiful my brain short circuited. The Buccaneers ran the ball 46 times. The Buccaneers beat Carolina 43-13, largely due to the team's ability to run the ball 46 times in the first half. The game was marked by a performance reminiscent of the days when NFL teams played like it was 1980. However, the game's one blemish was the performance of SirVocea Dennis, who outplayed Bryce Young, who went 7/11for 64 yards and a TD. The defense was praised for their performance, including Bucky Irving and Kenneth Gainwell who had their best game as a Buc with 14 carries for 88 yards and 24 carries for 106 yards. The Buccaneers' offensive identity clearly revolves around running, but they clearly want Bucky and Gainwell to be the engine. At 2-5, Tampa Bay has a chance at making the playoffs.
