Buccaneers Have an Extremely Crowded Wednesday Injury Report
The Bucs have a lot of players on their first injury report of the week as they prepare for a showdown with the Carolina Panthers. The Buccaneers' season is on life support at 1-5, with Tampa 2.5 games behind the Panthers. Key players including defensive tackle Vita Vea, safety Antoine Winfield Jr., and Calijah Kancey have returned to practice but remain sidelined due to new injuries. An illness is also affecting Tampa's locker room, which is something to monitor as the week progresses. Quarterback Baker Mayfield returned to practicing for the first time since dislocating his thumb, which could boost his chances of returning this week. Punter Riley Dixon, guard Cody Mauch, kicker Chase McLaughlin, and LB Josiah Trotter all practiced in full.
