The driver of a gray sedan hit the bicyclist near the intersection of East Orange Street and Lewis Avenue, causing life-threatening injuries. The bicyclist was airlifted to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Police have not released the identity of the bicyclists or the driver. The car is believed to have sustained damage to its front end, hood and windshield.

The Tarpon Springs Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a vehicle that officers say was involved in a hit-and-run crash that seriously hurt a bicyclist.

Around 5:10 p.m. Thursday, the driver of a gray sedan hit a bicyclist near the intersection of East Orange Street and Lewis Avenue, the police department said in a news release. Police said the driver of the sedan fled north on Lewis Avenue, and the bicyclist was airlifted to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police did not release the name of the bicyclist.

Police said the car will have damage to its front end, hood and windshield. Anyone with information about the vehicle or the driver can call the Tarpon Springs Police Department at 727-938-2849.
