Metropolitan Ministries is asking for the community's help after thieves stole materials worth as much as $50,000 from one of its holiday tent sites. Thieves have stolen materials worth up to $50,000 from Metropolitan Ministries' holiday tent site in Hillsborough County, Florida, causing the loss of materials worth as much as $50K. The theft comes as Metropolitan Minaris prepares to serve over 30,000 families and children during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. The materials were for Metropolitan Min's holiday tents in Hillsboro, East Pasco, West Pasco and Pinellas counties. The organization is working with its vendor to replace the stolen materials so its holiday tents can open on time. A report has been filed with law enforcement and the organization is cooperating with the investigation.
